Gods Love

Nowadays. it seems there is very little tolerance for God to be openly spoken about. However, to many, ‘God’ is still a sure reality. I’ve often wondered how it is possible that half the world believe in God, yet the other half don’t? I mean, can one half really see something that the other half can’t? Whilst this topic is often debated, the real questions are:

If God is real, can He be trusted?
What is God’s character really like?
How powerful is God’s love for us?

Heres what the bible has to say:

Can God be trusted?
Yes. ‘…the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.’ (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
He has never let anyone down, and has a track record of faithfulness.

What is God’s character really like?
‘The Lord God is a merciful God, He will not forsake you nor destroy you…’ Deuteronomy 4:31
See also Galatians 5:22-23 (+Exodus 34:6)

Is there anything that can separate us from God’s love for us?
Romans 8:38-39 says,
‘For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
Did you know that on judgment day, the one who is set to judge us, will be the same one who died to save us from death; Christ Jesus! …And there is nothing that can separate us from His love.
What does God mean to Me?
Naturally, humans appreciate it when someone loves. We usually respond in the same way. (i.e. smile at someone when they smile).

When Christians discover more of God’s immense love, they will naturally want to please Him more.
As for me, I am hungering for more of His love, and it inspires me each day.
If you are doubting God love for your life, read what He says in Jeremiah 29:13
‘And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.’

Something else very profound which I have learned recently is that when we love like how Jesus loved… we gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s love.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 john 4:7-8
‘We love Him, because He first loved us.’ 1John 4:19
